What is AF+?
AF+ is a magazine subscription. It's also how Autostraddle stays independent.
Every quarter, a new issue of Autostraddle Print arrives in your mailbox, free: 200+ pages of queer essays, photography, reported features and gay crosswords. Join today and Issue 03 is your first one.
Ads alone have never been enough to keep a queer magazine independent. Your ongoing membership is what keeps Autostraddle independently owned and still publishing.

Your membership pays the people who make it
Member dollars pay our queer and trans team to edit and publish everything from dating advice to news you can trust to comics by queer artists and TV and film reviews, to design and illustrate, and to organise virtual and IRL events. Autostraddle, founded in 2009, is the oldest independently owned website for LGBTQIA+ people, and each issue runs to 6,000+ copies via subscription plus queer bookstores, gyms, cafés and spaces.

Questions
What is AF+?
AF+ is the Autostraddle print magazine subscription from For Them. You get every issue free in the mail, 30% off everything in the store, and ad-free reading on Autostraddle.com. Your membership also pays the queer and trans team who make it all.
What's the difference between quarterly and annual?
Both include every issue free in the mail and every member perk. Annual is the best value at $8.17/mo ($98 a year), plus a free Very Gay Sticker Pack. Quarterly is $28 every three months ($9.33/mo).
When will my first issue ship?
Issue 03, the sports issue, is shipping now. Join today and it is your first issue; after that you start with the next one. New issues arrive seasonally.
What's in each issue?
200+ pages of queer essays, photography, reported features and gay crosswords. Each issue has its own theme: Issue 03 is all about queer sports culture.
Do I get the back issues?
Your membership starts with the current issue and every new one after it. Back issues #00, #01 and #02 are sold separately, and members get them at 30% off. Join annual and add all three in one go from the collection offer above.
What do I get member prices on?
Everything in the For Them store, including underwear, binders and back issues. Your member price shows on the product page and at checkout.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel your membership anytime from your member portal. No emails, no hoops.
Do you ship internationally?
Memberships ship to US addresses only for now. We cover postage on every issue after your first one, and we can't carry that outside the US yet. Single issues are different: order one from anywhere and we'll ship it to you.
Can I gift AF+?
Yes. A gift year of AF+ is $98: every issue free in the mail plus every member perk. Find Give the Gift of Queer Media in the shop.
How do I manage my membership?
Sign in at forthem.com or autostraddle.com and open the membership area in the top right. The Member Portal is where you update your details, change plan or cancel. Legacy member? Email team@forthem.com and we will sort it within 48 hours.
